4/5 Fundraising Committee

The 4/5 fundraising committee has been working hard – and we are ready to reveal our first DonorsChoose.org project!
We put together a list of items we’d like to add to our playground, made a video, and put it all on Donors Choose so that people far and wide can help us purchase some awesome new equipment.
Here are two things you can do RIGHT NOW to help:
1. Make a donation at the link below.
2. Share the link far and wide (email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, your personal blog, smoke signals) to encourage others to donate too!
For the next 6 days Donors Choose will match any donation, dollar for dollar, if you use the promo code INSPIRE when you donate.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Hi Trillium Community.  I hope you all are enjoying your holiday time this week and preparing to feast tomorrow.

A few parents have contacted me with some questions about the shift that the state, the district and Trillium is making towards Common Core Standards.  The link below is what PPS has put together for parents to explain the shift.
English Language Arts and Math standards have already gone into place, other disciplines will be moving that way in the near future.  Beginning next year the state will move away from the OAKS test and to the Smarter Balanced Test, which is designed to assess knowledge along Common Core Standards.
At Trillium we have been intentional and proactive in considering this move...
